I have a deep personal interest in the use of the arts to facilitate self-expression and healing, as well as a love for the inherent cultural value of the fine arts in society.

Bio

In 2020, I moved to Maynard, Massachusetts, and discovered ArtSpace Maynard, a non-profit artist-run studio organization housed in a historic school building. I began working with ArtSpace as a grant writer and in 2021 I assisted in opening a new satellite gallery, ArtSpace UFO, as a gallery manager.

My first book as an independent graphic designer, Eveli, A Jeweler’s Memoir, will be published by ACC ArtBooks in October 2022. I have also recently contributed to a book with the interior page design for Douglas Stockdale, The Flow of Light Brushes the Shadow, for his new imprint Singular Images Press.

I earned a BFA in Painting with an Expressive Arts Therapy minor at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia in 1993. I am an experienced gallerist and archivist with a demonstrated history of working in the retail fine arts industry. I was the registrar at Etherton Gallery, a fine art photography gallery, in Tucson, Arizona, from 1999 - 2016. It was my privilege to work with amazing colleagues and many truly outstanding artists and photographers, as well as view thousands of photographs and other artworks over the years.

Since 2016, I have been developing my graphic design skills in the area of book design, starting out collaborating with the talented artist and independent publisher, Andy Burgess, founder of Dark Spring Press, Tucson. We collaborated on over thirteen books together with Andy acting as the art director — an extraordinary learning experience for me and essential for my development as a designer.
